Burpees

When you tell a non exerciser you upped the number of Burpees in your routine, they might tend to chuckle. Where the name came from, I don't have a clue. All I know is they suck.

And they work.

This exercise combines an aerobic workout with a strength workout. If you are doing body weight exercises, consider adding these to your routine.

Relax. You won't do them as fast as this guy but this animation shows you how burpees are performed.

Stand straight to begin. Drop your hands to the floor. Now kick your legs back into a pushup position. Kick forward to the hands on the floor position and then jump up to the starting position.

If you've never done these before, you'll be screaming at me for showing these. Well, just in case here's a way to make them even tougher. When you jump back into a pushup position, add a pushup.

Nice! And you can do these anywhere so no excuses when you're on vacation.
